Collagen Supplements - Effective Or Hype?

We all know that collagen is a vital protein in our bodies that helps to keep our skin looking healthy and youthful.
Our bodies produce this protein naturally, but this process slows down as we age.
Many of us turn to collagen supplement in the hope of stopping aging skin in its tracks.
Are we throwing our money away on pipe dreams, or do these supplements actually work? It is a natural part of aging that our skins start to wrinkle and sag and we lose elasticity.
There are ways to slow the process, but it requires more than just one thing.
We need to eat right, and really pay attention to our daily diet.

The molecules are simply too big.
What we can do is find creams that have ingredients such as coenzyme Q10 which increases the body's natural ability to produce collagen.
There aren't many out there with this ingredient so make sure you read the jar! Creams and lotions also moisturize our skin which is very helpful in fighting aging.
But the only real way to actually put more collagen into your skin is by injections such as Botox.
Don't let the marketing of creams and supplements fool you.
Although they can assist the body to produce more collagen, they cannot do so on their own.
Eat right, drink water and get the proper amount of rest, combined with a cream or lotion and you will be fighting aging every step of the way.
