Craft Activities to Do with Kids

104 11

    Stamps

    • Purchase a wide variety of rubber stamps, embossing ink and embossing powder at your local craft store. Provide your child with these materials as well as heavy paper. Allow him to stamp the image of his choice on the paper using the special embossing ink. Place a small amount of the embossing powder on the image and gently shake any excess off. Help your child heat the image using a heat gun. This will raise the image and permanently adhere it to your child's artwork.

    Make Your Own Shirt

    • Purchase a plain shirt at any discount store. Use fabric paint and ask your child to decorate her own shirt. Provide her with a variety of paint colors and brushes to use with this craft. For younger children, you can use large foam stamps to help them complete the project. However, an older child may wish to paint her own images. Allow the shirt to dry for at least 24 hours and wash it at least once before wearing.
