If you want to take a European Cruise most of the operators take care of visas for their guests.
Most European countries are covered by one individual visa but a separate visa is required for Russia and a few Scandinavian countries.
Ask for all this information while discussing the itinerary.
You should have your passport and papers on you all the time.
2.
As these are European cruises and the Euro is accepted all over Europe it is best to convert your currency to Euros (?).
The onboard charges and the shopping on land will be made much easier.
3.
Make sure you arrive a day or two before you are about to board the cruise - this will ensure acclimatization and the cover up for all the delayed flights, missing luggage, give you time for currency conversion of you haven't already converted it.
If you work with a bank of international presence then the ATMs too are very helpful.
The branches of the same banks carry Exchange services too.
4.
Ask for the amount of weight you are allowed to carry - any liquid more than 100 ml unless packed in the check in luggage is confiscated.
5.
When on board keep your passport, credit cards, visa, ticket and the luggage tags with the customs form on you.
6.
Follow the weather and pack your clothes accordingly.
7.
Carry a basic medicine and first aid kit - just in case, with aspirin, and other essential medication you require, antiseptic cream, burn cream, sun block, dettol/savlon, cotton, ear buds, band aid, etc.
These are just a few simple tips you need to consider before going on your next cruise.
Remember you are travelling to foreign countries so you need to familiarise yourself with their culture and their laws before you go.
Respect their laws and their cultures and you will have a fantastic time on your next cruise.
