Las Vegas - Off Beat Things to See and Do
The Neon Museum or, The Boneyard.
Las Vegas is known for imploding its history, literally blowing to dust old hotels, casinos, water towers, industrial buildings, even local convenience stores.
But there's a place not far from the Vegas Strip that houses one of the biggest staples of Sin City- old neon signs.
Hundreds of them.
Golden Nuggets, horse riding cowboys, letters, words, numbers and symbols of all sizes, colors and intensities sit baking the desert sun, left out to dry among the cacti.
The Boneyard was started by YESCO, the company that originally built and provided all the Neon when it was commissioned.
Then, as time and technology continued to better itself, these old electric dinosaurs found their way out here.
The museum opened in 2009 and serves as not only a unique reminder of Las Vegas heritage, but as a form of pop culture pop art.
Mini Baja Buggy Racing.

This 90-minute journey takes you somewhere between 10 and 35 miles (16-21 kilometers) over what can only be described as very aggressive and challenging terrain, built for only the toughest of adventurers.
This is not a roller coaster ride - if you aim at the big rocks, you will probably hit them.
You are required to wear a full face helmet and a four-point harness at all times on the course.
Full pages of insurance are thrust before you ever get behind a wheel.
You can choose a one or two-seater dune buggy on this tour.
All buggies are custom built for the rugged Nevada terrain, and come equipped with roll cages, seatbelts and helmets for your safety.
The buggies are similar to your regular car, with a steering wheel, brake pedal, and gas pedal.
It's your responsibility to operate the vehicle safely.
Come back alive and have a great story to tell over the Craps table.
