How to Repair a Windshield Wiper Motor on a 1987 Jeep Wrangler
- 1). Pull the windshield wiper arm away from the windshield until the wiper arms lock in a vertical position.
- 2). Remove the screws that hold the wiper arm in place from the base of the wiper arm, using a Torx bit screwdriver, and pull the wiper arms off the wiper motor.
- 3). Remove the screws that hold the cowl in place, then pull the cowl off.
- 4). Unplug the electrical connector that connects to the wiper motor.
- 5). Unscrew the three screws that hold the wiper motor casing in place and pull the casing off the top of the motor.
- 6). Remove the wiper motor circuit board module and replace it.
- 7). Secure the wiper motor casing. The rest of the installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
