How to Make a Grog Drink
Cold Grog
- 1). Measure rum and water into a tumbler or old-fashioned glass. The historic ratio is one part rum to four parts water.
- 2). Add lime or lemon juice to taste.
- 3). Sweeten with sugar, or sugar syrup. Sugar dissolves poorly in cold liquids, so bartenders generally use syrup.
- 4). Garnish with a twist of lime.
