Massive Uses of Bitter Orange Oil

Bitter Orange oil is used in perfume and as a favoring. This oil is utilized in herbal medicine. The use of bitter orange may be associated with fainting, heart-rhythm disorders, heart attack, stroke, and death. The bitter orange tree is cultivated in eastern Africa and tropical Asia, Mediterranean region and elsewhere, including California and Florida.  This orange oil from the tree's leaves is called petitgrain, and oil from the flowers is called neroli. This orange oil is used in foods, cosmetics, and aromatherapy products.

Bitter Orange oil is broadly used in cooking and medicine:-
•    "Narthangai" is the unripe fruit that is commonly used in Southern Indian cuisine, especially in Tamil cuisine.
•    The juice from the ripe fruit is also used as a marinade for meat in Nicaraguan, Cuban and Dominican cooking.
•    The peel can be used in the production of bitters.
•    White beer is a beer made from wheat spiced with the peel of the bitter orange.
•    The Finnish and Swedish use bitter orange peel in gingerbread (pepparkakor) and in mämmi
•    This oil is also used in the Nordic mulled wine glögg. In Greece and Cyprus the nerántzi is one of the most prized fruits used for spoon sweets, and the C. aurantium tree (nerantziá) a popular ornamental tree.

•    In Iran the juice is used as fish marinade. The blossom is also used to flavor tea and jam.

Bitter orange oil is used in medicine:-

The extract of bitter orange has been used in dietary supplements as an aid to fat loss and as an appetite suppressant; although in traditional Chinese medicine it is always recommended in concert with other support herbs. This orange oil contains the tyramine metabolites N-methyltyramine, octopamine and synephrine, substances similar to epinephrine, which acts on the a1 adrenergic receptor to constrict blood vessels and increase blood pressure and heart rate.

This orange is used as a rootstock in groves of sweet orange.

The fruit and leaves make lather and can be used as soap.

The hard white or light yellow wood is used in woodworking and made into baseball bats in Cuba.

The Current uses of bitter orange are for heartburn, loss of appetite, nasal congestion, and weight loss. It is also applied to the skin for fungal infections such as ringworm and athlete's foot.
