How to Remove the Back Seat in a 1985 Ford LTD
- 1). Grasp the seat back on the driver's side of the rear seat with your hand and pull the seat forward until the retaining clips pop out of the sheet metal that forms the trunk.
- 2). Grasp the seat back on the passenger side of the rear seat with your hand and pull the seat forward until the retaining clips pop out of the sheet metal that forms the trunk.
- 3). Pull the seat back up to remove it from behind the seat cushion and remove the seatback from the Ford LTD.
- 4). Locate the two bolts that secure the seat cushion to the floor pan. The bolts are located between the backside of the seat cushion and the trunk frame. You exposed them when you pull the seat back up from the seat cushion. Remove the bolts from the floor pan using a socket and ratchet.
- 5). Pull up on the backside of the seat cushion and pivot the seat cushion forward. Grasp the cushion on the driver's side and pull upward to remove the retaining clips that secure the front of the cushion to the floor pan. Repeat the process on the passenger side and then remove the seat cushion from the Ford LTD.
