Baby Shower Games With Onesies
- One of the most popular ideas used at baby showers is the decoration of onesies. Each guest is given a plain, white onesie along with different colors of fabric markers or permanent paints. The markers and paint used should be safe and non-toxic. Each guest is also given a small piece of cardboard to insert into the onesie so that the paint does not go through to the other side. Guests then decorate the onesie with sayings, words or pictures. The mother takes the onesies home and is left with many personalized gifts for the baby to wear.
- A wishing well is commonly used at baby showers. Guests are asked prior to the shower to bring a small gift to place in the well. Each guest could be asked to bring a onesie, or pack of onesies to place in the well. The guest writes her name on the package and also includes a small note wishing the mother and baby well. During the shower, one or several onesies are chosen out of the well. The guest's name and note is read and the guest wins a prize.
- Another game that is played at baby showers is this simple guessing game. Items, such as onesies, rattles and bibs, are placed in a large bag. Guests feel inside the bag for about a minute or two. After the minute is up, the next guest feels inside. After each guest's turn, the guests write down as many items as they remember from inside the bag. The guest with the most correct answers wins a prize.
- Hang a clothesline somewhere at the baby shower. Baby clothes including onesies, socks and clothes are hung on the clothesline. Each guest gets a turn to take all clothing off the clothesline. The guests use a plastic baby doll and must dress the doll with all clothing items. The guest that completes the task the fastest wins a prize.
