I am a single mom and with a whole lot of help, I have figured out a bunch of different ways to make money at home.
I dove into this when my 5 year old daughter was sick one day.
I called my boss and let her know that I wouldn't be in and I was told that I needed to find "alternate arrangements" so that next time one of my kids was sick that I would not miss any work.
Alternate arrangements? Where do you take your child when they are sick and need extra love and care? I was extremely upset at the thought of leaving one of my kids in a strange place when they were sick.
I was already tired of missing school programs, not being able to volunteer to help in the classroom or go on field trips, not being able to go on any type of vacation, not to mention the fact that I couldn't take time just to enjoy being with my kids because the company I worked for felt that it was more important for me to be there at any given moment.
I decided right then and there that I would work at home, no matter what it took.
While my daughter was sleeping, I sat down at the computer and started my search for the best way to make money from home.
That was a couple of years ago and I have since discovered that there isn't just one "secret" way to make money at home.
There are many ways to do this and actually the more avenues you explore the better.
I want to share this because I know there are a whole lot of other moms and dads out there, single or not, that want to bring in a good income and have the freedom to do what they want, when they want with their families.
There is money out there, and anybody with a desire can do this! You don't need anything that you don't already have to do this.
It takes some time, some patience and internet access, but the most important ingredient is the willingness to learn, possibly from your own mistakes.
I now know, without a doubt, that you must overcome any fear of failure.
You simply can not succeed with that attitude.
Dive in and do it! Then do it again and again and again until you get it right.
Make this moment your turning point.
Make the decision to change your life.
You'll never know if you don't try.
Whatever it is that brought you here right now is your driving force, just like my boss telling me that next time my daughter was sick that I would still be expected to come in to work.
Just thinking about that moment gives me butterflies to this day, because it is what changed my course.
If I hadn't used that to motivate me, I'd still be at that job and still be living with the stress and the guilt of knowing that I couldn't even take care of my own kids when they needed me the most.
