How to Upgrade a Browser in Windows 2000
- 1). Ensure that you have at least 32MB on your computer. To check your RAM in Windows 2000, perform a "Right Click" on your computer's "Task Bar." Select "Task Manager." Click on the the "Performance" tab to see "Physical Memory."
- 2). Visit the Microsoft Download Center. A link to the download center is located in the "References" section of this article.
- 3). Click on the download button for "Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1."
- 4). Click "Run" to begin the download and installation process. The Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 software will automatically download and install on your computer.
- 5). Reboot your computer to complete the installation process.

- 2). Click the "Download Now" button.
- 3). Click "Run" to download the updated FireFox browser.
