Final Fantasy Games for the Nintendo DS
- Final Fantasy is a popular series of role playing games first introduced in 1987 by Square Enix. According to GameSpot.com, the Final Fantasy series is Square Enix's most successful series. More than 80 million copies have been sold worldwide. It's the fourth-best-selling video game series in history, and is available for all gaming systems. As of December 2009, there are seven Final Fantasy games for the Nintendo DS available in the United States.
- This one features a 16-year-old village warrior whose friend is sick with a mysterious illness, and he must discover its cause and find a cure. The young warrior takes his first trip outside of the village, and encounters villains and all kinds of trouble. When he returns home, the village is in ruins and under a curse. He spends the rest of the game completing quests in an effort to save the world and the village.
- This game follows the adventures of twins Yuri and Chelinka. The twins and their father live in peace until an evil presence appears and endangers everyone. The twins decide to find out what's happening. They journey out into the world to battle monsters, complete quests and destroy evil.
- This one is different from other titles in the Final Fantasy series. Instead of straight role playing, this version includes role playing, exploration and card battles. It's more like a collection of mini-games united by a plot. The main character is Chocobo. All of his friends get sucked into an evil storybook. In order to save them, Chocobo must find eight storybooks that provide clues on how to rescue his friends.
- Final Fantasy III follows the journey of four friends. They find a powerful crystal that bestows special powers on them, and tells them the world is out of balance and evil is overpowering goodness. They explore the world and fight to restore the balance between good and evil.
- Final Fantasy IV is the story of Cecil, a knight on a quest to save the world. An evil sorcerer wants to destroy the world, but he needs a set of powerful crystals to complete his plan. Cecil must save the world by stopping the sorcerer from putting his plan into action.
- This title revolves around a young boy named Luso Clemens. Luso gets drawn into a fantasy world after he writes his name in a mysterious book. He ends up in a world called Ivalice, and joins a warrior clan in order to survive. He spends the rest of the game completing quests, fighting monsters and trying to find his way home.
- This one is a continuation of Final Fantasy XII (which is not available for the Nintendo DS). The action picks up a year after the end of the previous game. Vaan and Penelo are sky pirates. They encounter a character that comes from a world that's supposed to be hidden. Evil sky pirates cause the hidden world to be revealed. Vaan and Penelo must find a way to conceal the world once again.
