How to Build a Styrofoam Sailboat
- 1). Choose a Styrofoam bowl that will act as the sailboat's base. Give the sailboat a name and write the name on the outside of the bowl using a waterproof permanent marker. Continue using permanent markers to draw decorations onto the remainder of outside of the bowl and into the inside of the bowl.
- 2). Draw a triangle onto the bottom of the second Styrofoam bowl. Cut out the triangle using a scissor or razor blade to create the boat's sail. Color the triangle using permanent markers.
- 3). Cut off the bendable top from a drinking straw. Position the triangle against the side of the straw, near the top. Use a hot glue gun or other waterproof craft glue to glue the straw to the triangle. Glue the bottom of the straw to the middle of the Styrofoam base.
