How to Drill a Deadbolt Lock
- 1). Select and drill bit that is the same size as the circumference of the key hole. Insert the bit into the tip of the power drill and tighten the power drill with the key that was supplied with the power drill.
- 2). Coat the entire surface of the drill bit with the lube and place the drill bit on the key hole. Start drilling the key hole and push the drill as it turns.
- 3). Apply more lube to the drill bit every minute or so to keep the drill bit from heating up and braking. Keep drilling until the drill bit comes out of the other end of the lock. Pull the drill from the key hole and insert a screwdriver into the hole and turn the lock to open the lock.
