Kitchen Red by R Pragash
From the Artist: After reading the challenge of the September project, I gathered a couple of salt and pepper containers, an empty bottle with an orange cap, and a tomato sauce bottle. For composition I used a stainless steel vessel.
From the Painting Guide: Painting reflections can be tricky, but they're so appealing and can produce really interesting results with the distortions they produce. I think you've got a great arrangement of elements here, with being a prominent color but not overwhelming the composition.
Things to Consider When Looking at This Painting:
Foreground Edge: It may be the result of the way the photo was taken, but the edge of the surface the still life elements are standing on curves up on the left- and right-hand side. I imagine that in real life, this is a straight line.
Perspective: Given that you're seeing the top of the glass and stainless steel containers, isn't it likely that you'd also see the tops of the salt and pepper containers? Set up the salt/pepper and the stainless steel containers again to check.
