How to Add Graphics to a Business Card Using Word

104 14
    • 1). Open Word, pull down the "File" menu and select "Open." Browse to the Word file with your business cards and double-click it, which opens the document in the Word workspace.

    • 2). Click your cursor into the top left card on the page. Pull down the "Image" menu and click "Picture." To add your own image or company logo, click "From File," browse to the image and double-click it, which adds it to the card. To add stock art, click "Clip Art," type a word or phrase such as "hard hat," "cupcakes," "cats" or "lawyer" into the "Search for" box and click "Go." Scroll through the results and double-click a graphic to add it to the card.

    • 3). Resize the image by grabbing its corner and pulling it towards the middle of the image, which shrinks it. Drag the graphic into place on the card into the top left corner. The rest of the text on the card will automatically adjust; you may have to highlight the text and use the text toolbar at the top of the Word screen to resize the words, which may be cut off due to the graphic taking up room on the card.

    • 4). Use your cursor to highlight all of the text and the new graphic on the card. Press "Ctrl+C" keys to copy it. Highlight all of the text on the next card on the page, then press the "Ctrl+V" keys to paste the new card directly over the original. Repeat this to paste over all of the cards on the page so each card has the graphic.

    • 5). Pull down the "File" menu and click "Save As." Give the file a new name; don't save it on top of the original in case you ever want to access the non-graphical cards again.
