So I'm a bit late in posting this outfit as our last days in Singapore were quite busy - we tried to cram a few last minute things in including a trip to The Gardens By The Bay & The Botanical Gardens. This is actually an outfit I wore on our date night to go see the new Spider Man film (so many tears). I don't get the chance to wear dresses very often as I'm still breastfeeding, so it was exciting to finally vary it up a little. This pretty dip dye dress from Great Plains arrived literally as we were heading out the door to the airport. I'm so glad I was able to quickly throw it in my case as it was perfect for Singapore's hot climate as the fabric is so comfortable and light. I love the ombre effect too (matches my hair) and it's a little different to the classic denim dresses that are currently in a lot of the shops just now. I'm also loving being back in sandals again, here's hoping we get a chance to wear them back in the UK!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet as I'm currently battling some mega jet lag. But it's safe to say we're all feeling really refreshed after our lovely holiday. There's nothing like a bit of R&R by the pool and lots of yummy food to help you feel renewed and recharged. I'm really excited to get back to my side project too - It won't be long till I can finally share more about it as the ball is already rolling, but until then I see a few late nights coming my way. I've always been interested in personal style, photography and writing so starting a blog felt like a natural way to combine the three. I love having a place where I can share my inspiration and random musings with others.

I graduated from University in 2012 with a Joint Honours Degree in English, Journalism & Creative Writing. A couple of months after graduating I took a leap and moved to London with my then boyfriend of six years, Olly (get to know us here). Besides working and exploring this amazing city together, we also became engaged during a beautiful weekend trip to Cambridge. We decided not to wait and married soon after in an intimate ceremony in Koh Samui. It was our dream wedding!

2013 held even more magical news for us, as two pregnancy tests confirmed we were expecting our first baby! We welcomed our gorgeous son, Finlay James, into the world in September that year. We couldn't be happier to have entered this new exciting chapter in our lives. Being a mummy is the biggest blessing there is!

Now you'll find us way up North in Aberdeen, where I'm working as a freelance writer and supporting my husband on his second posting. It's quite a change from London, but we can't wait to explore this new city. When not blogging you will find me looking after my little man, typing away at the laptop working (on articles or my first novel), reading crime fiction & chick lit's the classics, attempting yoga and not watching Keeping up with the Kardashian's.
