Vicky Lynn Lewallen, 45, former biology teacher and girl's basketball coach at Norman North High School, in Norman, Oklahoma, was sentenced to two years in prison on March 4, 2009, for her sexual involvement with a 16-year-old female student.
Lewallen entered a blind plea to two oral sodomy charges. The victim testified that the relationship was consensual and that she initiated it and did not regret it.

She also said she was previously involved with another teacher at another school.

Eight years of Lewallen's sentence was suspended. She was taken immediately into custody to begin serving the two-year sentence.
