Your Virtual Assistant Can Be Your "Venting" Partner

103 23
In a previous post, I talked about Virtual Assistants as "brainstorming" partners.
They can help you get ideas for new products, services, retreats and events out of your head and into planning stages.
Well, with the right VA and upfront discussion regarding this, your Virtual Assistant can be your "venting" partner as well.
I will say that not every Virtual Assistant will be open to this idea.
It would be wise to talk to your VA about this idea before you move forward with it.
Some people will not want to push the relationship to that point.
They want to keep it as a "strictly business" relationship.
For Virtual Assistants like me, I choose to offer that as a way to better know my clients.
It helps me know more about my client which means I can better assist them.
Just like brainstorming gets ideas out of your head for planning and execution, venting gets those feelings and thoughts off your chest.
Many people just need somewhere to unload a bit to clear their head so they can move forward.
Many people do not wish to burden their family and friends with that load.
They save that time for fun and relaxation.
If they can vent to their VA, they can get on with things.
Just the other day one of my clients, who is the CEO of a very successful company, said to me, "Sophie, you are cheaper than a therapist.
" She was happy to get her frustrations and stress unloaded.
Granted, I cannot offer professional psychiatric advice, but I can be someone who just listens.
Sometimes, that's all one needs to get out of a stressed and frustrated mindset and back to work.
If you find yourself feeling stressed, frustrated or otherwise in a negative mindset, talk to your Virtual Assistant.
Ask them if they are open to an occasional phone call where you get to vent your feelings and thoughts just to get them off your chest.
Clearing your head in that way can be all it takes to get on with your day and your work.
