Some Foods May Help Fight Pain - Find Out Which Ones Will Benefit You

103 26
Most people did not think food had much to do with pain, until recently.
Many doctors still do not see the connection but time has shown some physicians that there is often a connection between pain and what we consume.
It is now known that certain types of foods and food substances can help to increase or decrease inflammation.
The American diet is typically low in a number of nutrients.
There is a deficiency of many minerals and vitamins including vitamin B, C, D and E; folic acid, selenium, magnesium and zinc.
All have been associated with arthritis.
The American diet is over flowing with too much fat.
When fat gets into the tiny blood vessels that nourish our joints, oxygen exchange is hampered and the body may have difficulty in removing waste products.
This can result in the body tissue becoming weak and break down.
Elcosanoids are important to pain patients because they help to control the joint pain or inflammation.
Saturated or hydrogenated fats can affect the regulation of these hormonal substances (elcosanoids).
Certain foods may cause an allergic relation to some people with rheumatoid arthritis - making their pain worse.
Some researchers may call this allergic arthritis.
Everyone reacts differently to foods, so it is next to impossible to make statements about which foods are better than others.
Meat is filled with substances that may trigger your allergies.
Excessive fat may increase the levels of inflammatory substances in the body.
Milk and some dairy products can cause problems for pain patients.
Animals, that we consume as food, are given chemicals that concentrate in fatty tissue.
Ham, hot dogs, bologna, bacon, all the cold cut meats have these chemicals and preservative that can set off an allergic reaction.
Changing your diet to a low-fat, low-glycemic, highly nutritious diet has helped many people to eliminate or reduce for some of their medication.
The following is not only good for people with pain, but everyone: Eat a wide variety of foods because each one will have different nutrients.
A diet consumed with many fruits and fresh vegetables and a variety of whole grains will be an excellent start to increase or maintain your health.
Include fish, lean poultry, low-fat dairy products and nuts.
Try to avoid some of the packaged foods by comparing the additives in each one to avoid the ones that have excessive additives.
  Keep your sugar consumption low.
All natural foods have enough sugar that you do not need any excess.
Snack during the day on low-fat foods to curbed your appetite to help prevent over-eating at the dining room table.
  Especially on vegetables.
These snacks will help you keep your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day.
Eat slowly when consuming your food.
Give your body and mind enough time to tell you that you've had enough.
Drink plenty of water and keep fat consumption within healthful limits.
And avoid a large meal before retiring for the evening.
Eating a large meal just before your bedtime is very unhealthy with the majority of the food you ate can be stored as fat.
And excessive fat is not what our bodies need.
