Discover This Innovative Way to Protect Your Cellphone Information

In today's mobile world it is not uncommon for everyone you meet from all walks of life to have a cellphone of some type and brand.
These innovative inventions allow all of us to have at our finger tips not only phone numbers and addresses but also banking information, credit card information and the multiple passwords that it seems it takes to function in today's society.
Unfortunately, today also produces those individuals that are less than honest and are actually looking for ways to get their hands on this valuable information.
Identity theft has led cellphone companies to find various ways to protect this data from would be thieves.
If you were to lose your cellphone, all of your sensitive information would be at risk.
That is why many of the smart phones today can be disabled remotely.
Meaning that if you were to miss place or lose your cellphone you would have the ability to 'kill' your phone remotely.
The actual means of accomplishing this task after the theft of your phone depends directly on the type of cellphone you purchase.
This is essentially the same principle as if you lost your credit card.
You call the credit card company and they close down your account.
If you miss place, lose or have your phone stolen you can basically do the same thing; only in this case you would simply have your cellphone disabled so that those that have your phone in their possession are not able to access any of the information that you may have stored in its memory.
As this new technology becomes common knowledge, maybe cellphone theft will decrease.
Although this is a good safety option for those that rely on their cellphones for pertinent information storage, it is still a new concept and has flaws that must be overcome.
For instance in the event of theft or loss of a cellphone with a low battery, once the battery dies the phone cannot be disarmed.
If someone were to recharge the phone, they would then have access to stored information.
In addition, if the phone is in a location that cannot receive signals, again it cannot be disarmed.
However, having the ability to erase this information is better than not being able to do anything at all.
