How to Remove Legacy Drivers From a Registry in Windows XP

    • 1). Right-click "My Computer." Click "Properties."

    • 2). Click the "Hardware" tab. Click the "Device Manager" button.

    • 3). Right-click on your Legacy hardware component's listing in the Device Manager. Click "Properties."

    • 4). Click the "Driver" tab.

    • 5). Click "Uninstall Driver" to remove your Legacy hardware driver from the Windows XP registry.
