You can describe a few quirky childhood incidents about your daughter and share some humorous escapades. Don't forget to add something about your future son-in-law. Talk about how you wanted to punch him the first time your daughter brought him home and how he made a fool of himself that day if you have to! Then go on to say that your affections towards him have changed and you have come to respect him and learnt a lot from him.

Lastly thank your wife for organizing the wedding and being your emotional anchor through it all. End by toasting the future happiness of your daughter and son-in-law.
