But when it comes to building your business and ensuring the life of it long term it's really important that you establish a strong level of duplication and what I mean by that is let's say you get really good at what you do, and you hire someone in to help you, and this all sounded great in theory but the main challenge you're having is that the person just isn't as good as you at what you do.
How do you get someone to the same level you do so that they can also do well? You need to have a strong systemized training and development program to take them through, but you also need to ensure that whatever type of training you're giving them is digestible and duplicatable.
Meaning, if need be, could your new person help someone else to learn the same skills you have developed? To help them become just as effective and as good at their business as you are? We are talking about someone learning the skills you've taught them directly, and then teaching someone else those same skills to the extent in which the third person is either at the same level or above as you are.
This is what we call duplication.
Having a tried and proven system for new people to follow that not only allows them to be coached by you, but also by new people coming in down the line.
This means that you'll have highly trained and capable people in your business even when you begin taking your foot of the accelerator you will still have people who are being coached and trained to be effective in their business and get the results they want.
After all, you build your own business so you can get a particular result, whether that be two six month holidays each year, or simply to provide an excellent product or service to the world, and that is a way for you to leave a legacy, or whatever it is you would like to do.
Having other people learning the skills and teaching others too, is an excellent way to ensure long-term sustainability of your business, and to ensure that you will continue to make money even after you retire from building your own business.
And that is what we call a passive income.
An income that is being deposited direct into your bank account without your having to be there, and if you're income continues to grow and grow without your involvement, then that means you've done your job well at training and developing people to be effective, and to go on and do the same for others.
And this is what you should always strive for when building your own home based business while working at home.
