• 1). Click the "Start" button and select "Control Panel."
  
  
• 2). Click "Hardware and Sound" and select "Printers."
  
  
• 3). Right-click the icon associated with the printer you want to remove.
  
  
• 4). Choose "Delete" from the list that appears. You have now removed an old printer from Windows Vista.

• 2). Select "Devices and Printers."
  
  
• 3). Right-click the printer icon and select "Remove device."
  
  
• 4). Click "Yes." You now have removed an old printer in Windows 7.
