How to Clean a De'Longhi Caffe Sorrento
- 1). Turn off and unplug your De'Longhi Caffe Sorrento machine.
- 2). Unscrew the boiler cap from the top of the water tank. If you just used your machine and haven't release the steam, turn the steam valve knob open slowly to release steam through the steam tube before opening the cap. After the steam has released, close the valve.
- 3). Pour 4 cups of distilled white vinegar into the tank. Return the cap to the tank.
- 4). Place the filter inside the filter holder and attach the holder to your machine. Place the carafe underneath. Plug in and turn on the machine.
- 5). Position a mug around the steam tube once the carafe begins to fill with hot vinegar. Turn the steam knob slowly to release the vinegar steam into the mug and clear the tube of any residues. Wait 30 seconds and then close the valve and set the mug aside.
- 6). Wait until the vinegar has heated completely. Turn off and unplug the machine again. Wait for the machine and carafe to cool and then remove the carafe, filter holder, filter and drip tray.
- 7). Dispose of the vinegar in the carafe. Rinse the carafe, filter, filter holder and drip tray under hot water. When finished, return the pieces to your machine. Repeat the entire cleaning process two more times using water instead of vinegar.
- 8). Wipe the exterior of your machine with a damp, lint-free microfiber cloth. Dry the surfaces with another cloth.
