How to Qualify for a West Virginia Pell Grant
- 1). Navigate to fafsa.ed.gov. Select "Start Here."
- 2). Enter your name, social security number and birth date on the new page. Click "Next" and confirm your information by clicking "Next" again.
- 3). Click on the year of the FAFSA you want to file. Create a password, type it again and click "Next" to continue. Choose "Next" again to begin your FAFSA.
- 4). Fill in the required blanks with your educational, personal, residential and financial information. You'll need your W2 forms or your latest tax returns. If you're under 24, taking undergraduate classes or not married, you will also have to enter your parents' financial, personal and residential information. Choose "Next" after each page to continue. Choose the schools to which you want to submit your FAFSA, if any.
- 5). Examine your EFC when it appears. If it is below $3,850, you qualify for the West Virginia Pell Grant as of 2011.
