How to Sand Bowling Balls
- 1). Place the ball in the spinner with the pin (a colored circle that is approximately half an inch in diameter) facing up.
- 2). Turn on the spinner.
- 3). Spray the bowling ball with enough water to cover the visible surface of the ball.
- 4). Press the sandpaper against the surface of the ball. Apply enough pressure so that the surface of the ball visibly changes.
- 5). Stop sanding the ball when the lines created from the surface change have disappeared. This should take no more than 30 seconds.
- 6). Turn the ball 180 degrees and repeat steps 2 through 5.
- 7). Turn the ball 90 degrees and repeat steps 2 through 5.
- 8). Turn the ball 180 degrees and repeat steps 2 through 5.
