When she does, she’s in for a surprise because Ryan wants to shower her with love regardless of her body’s changes.

Barefoot in the Grass doesn’t shy away from the heroine’s cancer and the emotional turmoil she endures because of her body image. Ryan is an amazing hero who is unbelievably understanding to what Beth has gone through. This is one inspiration romance with many emotional scenes, but also some light moments. A not to be missed, uplifting story that stays with you long after you finish reading.

And One Last Thing… by Molly Harper, published by Gallery Books in 2010. Lacey Terwilliger's life is about to change in a big way when she's sent flowers from her husband that says, "To my BumbleBee, Happy Anniversary, With all my love, The Stinger." Lacey's accountant husband Mike doesn't call her by a cutesy nickname, and definitely not BumbleBee.

Shock fills Lacey's entire body because Mike's receptionist is named BeeBee Baumgardner. Lacey has stood by Mike all these years, helping his company grow and suffering silently as he never cared about her needs. She calls a divorce lawyer and licks her wounds at her grandmother's rustic cabin in the woods. She meets her attractive, hermit like next door neighbor Lefty Monroe, an author. As the days go by, Lacey finds a way to move on, and that may mean with Monroe. They fall into a friends with benefits situation, that is, until his family comes for a surprise visit where Monroe announces what Lacey really means to him.

And One Last Thing… is a combination of romance and women’s' fiction about a woman who must go through the steps of finding herself again. Lacey was ruled by her marriage and her husband who took her for granted. Even though she felt her marriage wasn't the best it could be, she tried to create a happy home. Unfortunately, it was her selfish husband who destroyed everything. This is a pretty easy read with some nice moments of humor and steamy love scenes.

Cheri on Top(Bigler, North Carolina #1) by Susan Donovan, published by St. Martin’s Paperbacks in 2011.  Cherise “Cheri” Newberry and her best friend, Candy are dead broke. But then Cheri gets a call from her grandfather. He wants her to come back home and be in charge of the Bigler Bugle, her hometown newspaper. Cheri has no desire to move back home, especially with J.J. DeCroucy working as a reporter for the Bugle. Cheri and J.J. have a tumultuous history together. When J.J. finds out Cheri has come back, he’s both shocked and pleased. He’s never gotten over Cheri. He and Tanyalee have been divorced for years and she’s now engaged to one of the richest men in Bigler. Perhaps Cheri can forgive him and they can work on being in a relationship again.

Cheri on Top is a good time read. Cheri and J.J. have great chemistry, and even though he did the worst thing possible by sleeping with Tanyalee, you can’t help but feel sorry for the guy. Cheri has a good head on her shoulders and she doesn’t fell straight into J.J.’s arms right away. This is the perfect type of beach read that will give you many hours of enjoyment.
