How to Draw a Hoe
- 1). Sketch a long tube-like feature to act as the main handle for this particular garden tool. Use a ruler to help guide you through creating each line that will make this hoe, separating the two lines by just a minimal amount of space.
- 2). Round out one end of the tubular handle and flatten the other. The rounded end allows users to easily grip any place on the handle to dig into the ground as easily as possible. The flat end connects to the main part of the tool.
- 3). Draw a short, tubular attachment to the flat end of the handle. Sketch this attachment slightly wider than the handle but only a few inches in length.
- 4). Attach a perpendicular head to the hoe using a semi-circular shape and a flattened edge. The flattened edge allows users to dig into the soil and mix the minerals around for gardening purposes.
- 5). Trace the entire hoe with a pen to create a bolder appearance. Carefully move the pen over each of the lines, using the ruler for any straight sections. Let the ink dry, then erase any remaining pencil marks from the page.
- 6). Use the pen to fill in both the attachment and the flattened edge to create a more sleek design in this hoe. Add short, straight lines to the handle to give it a textured appearance.
