    Country Kitchen

    • Farmhouse colors and picture-painted tiles are a natural choice for a country-themed kitchen. You can do a green-themed tile kitchen, for example. Large, square, forest green ceramic tiles can cover the kitchen floor, while small, square ceramic tiles in white and forest green can create the countertops, and green tiles can run in a thick line along the top and bottom of the kitchen backsplash. The middle of the backsplash can contain a large white tiles, large picture tiles, large white tile pattern. Each picture tile could have a design, such as a colorful rooster painting on a yellow background.

    Funky Patio

    • A funky patio is a colorful and amusing way to add a cheerful tone to your yard. One design example: Thin, rectangular, black ceramic tiles could trim the square patio while tiny octagonal pieces of light slate, pink marble, green marble, cream glass, black ceramic, purple ceramic and turquoise ceramic tile cover the patio body. The tiles can be arranged in a swirl pattern with white cement.

    Modern Dining Room

    • A tile-topped dining table with a matching tiled shelf creates a modern style for a big or small dining room. One way to do it: Have pieces of broken black, amber and cream ceramic tiles top the rectangular maple table. The tiles can be arranged in a random pattern with gray grout. A simple maple shelf can be completely covered with a matching tile arrangement. The shelf secures to a plain wall to hold decorative pitchers, picture frames or other accents.

    Romantic Living Room

    • Adding tile to a simple fireplace can give a dull living room a rich and romantic style. Small, rectangular, burgundy marble tiles with pink veins could cover the body and the top of the mantle on the basic fireplace, while small, square, white marble tiles painted with a random pattern of pink flowers can decorate the sides of the mantle and the floor in front of the fireplace. Curtains, pillows and upholstery that match the fireplace colors help tie the room together.

    Serene Bathroom

    • Combine ceramic, marble and glass tiles to create a serene bathroom with a water theme. Large, square, dark blue, ceramic tiles make up the bathroom floor. A random pattern of small, square, dark blue, ceramic tiles and small, square, light blue marble tiles make up the counter and backsplash.

The wall next to the white bathtub has a mixture of the blue ceramic tiles, blue marble tiles and tiny, aqua, glass tiles. A large square in the middle of the wall is bordered with a thin line of the ceramic tiles. A tiled landscape mosaic of the beach fills the body of the square.
