How to Turn off Geolocation in Firefox
- 1). Launch Mozilla Firefox. Click "Start" from the lower-left of the screen. Click "All Programs" and then click "Mozilla Firefox."
- 2). Type "about:config" in the address bar located at the top of the browser.
- 3). Click the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button on the resulting page to launch the Firefox configuration page.
- 4). Enter "geo.enabled" in the "Filter" box at the top of the page and press "Enter."
- 5). Double-click "geo.enabled" under "Preference Name" to disable the feature. The value of the feature changes from "true" to "false."
- 6). Click the "X" at the top of the Firefox configuration page tab to save your changes and close out of the configuration settings.
