How to Login to a Drupal Website
- 1). Locate the "User Login" box. Enter a slash "/" followed by the word "User" after the name of the site if you do not see a place to enter your username and password on the homepage of the site.
- 2). Click on "Request New Password;" it is under the password field on a homepage "User Login" box and it is the tab furthest to the right on the separate user page "/user." Enter the following: "sitename/user/password" if you cannot find the "Request New Password" prompt.
- 3). Enter the email address that you specified when you signed up into the email field.
- 4). Check your in-box for the lost password email sent from the site's address; remember to check your spam box as well if you do not see the message a minute or so after clicking on the password link.
- 5). Click on the link in the text of your lost password email to access the reset screen. Enter your new password in the text field of the reset screen.
- 6). Remember to properly record your new password. Follow the steps in Section 2 to log in as a regular user.
- 1). Enter your user name and password in the "Username" and "Password" text fields in the "User Login" box at the top of the right or left hand sidebar of the home page of most Drupal sites. Click on the "Login-Register" tab on the Drupal community site to open its login and password box if you want to access the community site using your own account. Enter a slash "/" followed by the word user "nameofsite/user" if you do not see a "User Login" box or prompt on the front page.
- 2). Click on the "Log in" button below the password field.
- 3). Use the site as you normally would; depending on your privileges you can now read, update and administer the site without logging in again.
- 1). Type a slash "/" followed by the word "User" in the browser window after the name of your site "sitename.com/user." Wait for a user login box to appear.
- 2). Request a new password if necessary by clicking on the "Request New Password" tab and following Steps 2 and 3 in Section 1.
- 3). Enter your administrator user name and password in the fields of the user login box. Click on "Log In."
- 4). Access the site as you normally would; you do not have to put the site back online to administer or add content to your site. Note that only an administrator can log in to an offline site.
