How to Boil a Mouth Football Mouth Guard
- 1). Fill a pan or kettle with water and bring it to a full boil.
- 2). Place the mouth guard in the boiling water for about 30 seconds.
- 3). Take the mouth guard out of the boiling water and dip it into a bowl of cold water for about three seconds.
- 4). Place the mouth guard in your mouth, using your fingers to form it around your teeth and your tongue to push the mouth guard against the back and bottom of your teeth.
- 5). Take the mouth guard out and place it back into the hot water for eight seconds.
- 6). Take the mouth guard out of the hot water, shake off any excess water and put it back into your mouth. This will help your mouth guard form properly.
- 7). Bite down on the mouth guard.
- 8). Take the mouth guard out and place it in the cold water for two minutes to set the impressions left by your teeth.
- 9). Remove the mouth guard from the cold water and use scissors to remove any excess material.
