    Skin Issues

    • When glucose intolerance begins to occur, one of the major organs to get affected is your skin. The inability to process glucose can cause several different issues with your skin. These issues can include: rashes, infections, and fungal growth like athlete's foot. You may also experience difficulty healing after a cut or abrasion. The skin may become dry and itchy and you may see the onset of skin ulcers.

    Nerve Issues

    • With the onset of this condition, you may experience peripheral neuropathy affecting parts of your body such as your hands and feet. This condition will manifest itself as a tingling or numbness associated around your appendages. Advanced cases may result in a complete loss of feeling in these appendages. You may also feel a "pins and needles" effect from lack of circulation to those appendages.

    Sexual Problems

    • Glucose Intolerance can also result is problems with your genitals and sexuality in general. Men may begin to experience erectile failure. Women with this condition can have a range of sexual health problems including unusual vaginal dryness, absent periods and face premature menopause.

    Weight

    • When affected by glucose intolerance, the inability to process the glucose in your body can result in a rapid weight change. Depending on your body's chemistry, you may see a rapid weight loss or weight gain. If you experience this, see your doctor immediately, as weight changes may be the result of a bigger problem

    Other Factors

    • There is a litany of other factors associated with a low glucose tolerance. These symptoms can affect your entire body and must be considered a warning sign for diabetes. Symptoms of this can include blurred vision, excessive thirst and dehydration, and excessive hunger. Your muscles may begin to cramp and ache, and you may be prone to severe headaches. You may become irritable and extremely fatigued. You may also experience an increase in acne, which will abate as you get some help for the condition.
