Friends of my in-laws told us about this campground, and we RV camped there in April 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

We have camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park at Easter time for the past four years, and my family has really enjoyed it. It is a gated campdround, and their rules are enforced. There are shaded and open sites around the lake or open sites with little shelters closer to the ocean.

There are two swimming pools, one indoors and one outdoors with a lazy river that you use an intertube to float around on. They offer Wi-Fi at a reasonable cost either by the day or the week. They have been replacing the old restrooms with a new one each year. The campground is clean, and the staff are friendly. Their Web site is accurate and looks just as it does in person. Reservations are suggested especially at holiday times.

Pros: It is gated. Most of the sites are full hook ups including cable. Tent sites are available. A very well stocked camp store.

Cons: Still need to update some of the restrooms in the shaded area. Roads are busy at Easter time, but not too hard to get around.

Nearby attractions: Not far from Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach and a shopping mall in walking distance. Lots of mini-golf places within a short drive. NASCAR Speed Park is about 8 miles away as are many dinner shows. All are worth it seeing.

Further comments:

I recommend this campground when traveling to Myrtle Beach.
