Does Your Website Suck?

103 10
During the set up process of your internet marketing website it can be easy at times to feel overwhelmed.
In fact, when I first got started out in internet marketing, I didn't know what foot to put first and felt like everything I was doing was wrong (even if it wasn't).
There is so much material out there promising to teach you how to do it "the right way", but if you're not careful they can leave you more confused than before.
Setting up an effective and profitable internet marketing site is actually pretty easy.
By "easy" I don't mean that it requires no effort (this is a crazy propaganda that's happening all over the place and sadly too many newbies fall into the "easy road" trap which only leads to frustration), but rather if you put your mind into it and avoid applying useless tactics, you'll realize that it's far more simple than you think.
Here are some basic questions to ask yourself when you're ready to evaluate the effectiveness of your site: 1.
"Is my site helpful?" The measure of the helpfulness of your website lies in the quality of your content.
If the content makes sense and answers the questions that your visitors are looking for, you're on your way to having an effective website.
Attach relevant images to your posts and pages, this ensures that your site isn't just a compilation of boring text, but is visually appealing and engages your readers.
2.
"Will my visitors easily find what they're looking for?" If your visitors have to look hard for what they're looking for, chances are they'll get frustrated and leave.
It's important to make sure that your website answers their questions, provides the material they're looking for, yet still leaves them interested.
A quality internet marketing website isn't full of promises and hype, but has informational, personal, and contains visual aid.
A key way to make your website easy to navigate is to have a search bar or a categories column; this makes it easy for them to find relevant content more easily.
3.
"Would they revisit my site or recommend it to a friend?" Good content spreads.
Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising.
If your visitors like your website, they'll quickly tweet about it, post it on Facebook, or recommend it to their friends.
So ask yourself, "judging by the overall functionality of my website, will my visitors keep coming back or recommending it to a friend?".
If it's hard for you to picture them doing just that, then you'll need to touch up your website.
Ultimately your website isn't about you, it's about your customers.
So whether you're reviewing products, promoting affiliate products, or are promoting a membership program, it's best to make sure your site isn't blatantly centered around you, but makes your readers feel like they're important and that you're after their good.
