How to Use Capacitors to Reduce Noise on Wires
- 1). Cut four pieces of electrical wire. Strip off 1/2-inch of insulating material from the ends of each wire.
- 2). Twist together one end of the first wire, one of the capacitor leads and one end of the second wire. Crimp a ring terminal to the loose end of the second wire.
- 3). Twist together one end of the third wire, the remaining capacitor lead and one end of the fourth wire. Crimp a ring terminal to the loose end of the fourth wire.
- 4). Connect the loose end of the first wire to the positive terminal on the power supply. Connect the loose end of the third wire to the negative terminal on the power supply.
- 5). To use the electrical circuit to power a device, connect the ring terminal at the end of the second wire to the positive terminal on the device. Connect the ring terminal at the end of the fourth wire to the negative terminal on the device.
