Summer Baseball Camps for Kids in the Houston Area

When youth baseball season is in full swing, the Houston area has a number of popular baseball camps that players can attend to refine their skills. Most have a limited amount of space available. The camps include instruction from high school players, ex-professional coaches and players, and current college baseball players. - Starting in June, baseball players will hone their skills at Reckling Park, where the Rice Owls play. Current coaches and players and former players will be on hand to help with instruction. The age ranges are 7 to 13. The camps begin on June 15 and are three days long, with an elite showcase for high school players from July 6 to 8.

Former pro scout and player Mike Harris hosts the Houston Miracles Baseball Academy in Houston. Summer camps start in mid-June and continue into August. The camps are for ages 5 to 14.

The camps begin in June for ages 5 to 12. The camps are taught by former coaches and players, including former players Gerald Young and Gary Gaetti.

Players will work out on the college field and spend time in the climate-controlled Yeoman Field House, which has a 100-yard Astroturf surface and batting cages. Camps begin in June, and the program offers half-day and full-day sessions. The camps are for ages 7 to 18. The older players can also sign up for the residence program, where players stay at the dorms on campus.
