How to Design Hockey Jerseys

    • 1). Create a sketch of what you want the jersey to look like.

    • 2). Decide how you want to incorporate the team name and mascot. There may be a logo already created that you would want to use. This would normally go in the center of the front of the jersey. You can also add a smaller version to the sleeves.

    • 3). Decide where on the hockey jersey you want the player's numbers to be located. The numbers will need to be on the back of the jersey, but you can also add them to the front of the jersey and the sleeves.

    • 4). Decide if you want the player's name on the back of the jersey. Instead of the individual name, you can put the team name or not have any name at all.

    • 5). If it is allowed, you may also want to add the name of the league in which the hockey team plays. This can be a small mention placed on a sleeve or somewhere on the front of the hockey jersey.

    • 6). Decide the color scheme of the hockey jersey. You will need to incorporate the hockey team's colors in some way. You can have a solid-color jersey with numbers and other text in a different color. Or you can have a multicolored jersey.

    • 7). Once you decide what you want your jersey to look like, take your sketch and any other ideas to a sports store or shirt printing company to see if they can produce your jersey.
