How to Desaturate With CS5
- 1). Launch Adobe Photoshop CS5. Click the “File” menu. Click the “Open” option. Browse to the image to desaturate, click the file name and click “Open.”
- 2). Click the “Image” menu at the top of the screen. Click “Adjustments.” Click “Hue/Saturation” from the fly-out menu.
- 3). Slide the “Saturation” bar, the second on the window, to the left. As you slide, you’ll see the saturation of the image slowly reduce. The further left you go, the less color is in the image. If you slide all the way to the end, with the saturation field showing “-100,” you’ll completely desaturate the image.
- 4). Click the “OK” button to close the “Hue/Saturation” window and return to the desaturated picture.
