Birthday Thank-You Gifts
- If you are throwing a birthday party for a child, or are just young at heart, consider giving small toys and games as a birthday thank-you gift. There are many puzzles and small board games you can purchase for under five dollars, or even for a buck at dollar stores; wrap them up or put them in gift bags. Decks of cards also make great thank-you gifts, as well. If you are throwing an adults-only party, dice games or drinking games, which can be purchased at online and local retailers, make fun thank-you gifts as well.
- Give your guests each a picture frame as a thank-you for celebrating your birthday. If you are giving the frames away the night of the party, insert a note where the photo would go saying how much you appreciate your guests. If you are giving the gifts after your party, print a picture of you and that person from the party and put it in the frame yourself.
You can purchase frames in bulk online or at local craft stores for a relatively cheap price. If you want a more formal frame, you can get them engraved at a speciality store, or you can decorate the frames yourself to make them more personalized. - Baked goods can be a birthday thank-you gift that is relatively inexpensive, but it will take some time on your part. Bake your favorite recipe of cookies, treats or breads and individually wrap each item, or groups of items, in decorative cellophane or little baggies. Attach a small thank-you note to each bag. You can also attach the recipe if you think friends and family will want to know how you prepared the delicious treats. You can also purchase small packages of baked goods from a bakery as thank-you gifts.
- If you are throwing an adults-only party, treat guests to adult beverages as a thank-you gift. A bottle of alcohol also makes a great gift to an individual after your birthday as a special thank-you for all they did to help plan the party.
Bottles of table wine can be purchased for as little as five dollars at many grocery or liquor stores. Make your own labels or special tags that say "thank-you" to put on the wine bottles, or put them in decorative wine gift bags. You can also give guest miniature bottles of alcohol, which only cost a few dollars each, or a couple of miniature bottles in a decorative gift bag.
