Many people strive to become stronger. They want to increase muscle mass to either look better or perform better. It is a very simple process to get stronger. All it takes is a little hard work, dedication and discipline. The best way to build muscle mass is to follow a dual path of proper diet and intense exercise.

Build Muscle Mass with Exercise

The most common way to get stronger through exercise is to follow a weight lifting regimen. The key is to perform rapid exercises with a weight that is 60-80% of the maximum you can lift in the specific exercise. You need to perform the lifts in an extremely explosive manner. That is the key to building muscle mass quickly and efficiently. Just be sure to perform the lifts with proper form. Failure to do so can lead to an injury and keep you out of the gym for awhile.

The other great way to get stronger by exercising is to practice plyometrics. Plyometrics is a technique in which you perform explosive jumps and muscle movements as quickly as possible. The quick movements will train your muscles to become incredibly strong and totally efficient.

Building Muscle Mass with Proper Diet

Performing strength training exercises is only half the battle. You need to give your muscles the necessary fuel to get stronger. The best way to build muscle mass through diet is to eat a lot of protein. Instead of drinking Gatorade after a workout, drink milk. It may sound odd, but drinking milk after a workout has been scientifically proven to speed recovery and build muscle more rapidly.

If you follow the two dual path of working out hard and eating lots of protein, you will be amazed at how fast you put muscle on your frame. Just make sure you are consistent with both aspects of the program. You also should be sure to give your body the necessary rest in order to avoid injury.
