How to Brush the Teeth of a Chinese Pug
- 1). Take a towel and cover the floor or table; this is your work area.

Baking soda
Prepare the toothpaste by mixing 8 to 10 tablespoons of baking soda with equal parts of water to form a paste. - 3). Take a spoon and mix it well to eliminate dry lumps.
- 4). Place your Chinese pug on the towel.

Toothbrush
Take the toothbrush and apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on the the bristle surface of the toothbrush. - 6). Take one of your arms and hold the Chinese pug in place and then carefully open their jaw and insert the toothbrush onto the upper left side of the mouth. Lightly brush the top teeth in a side by side motion. Work your way over to the upper right side of the mouth and repeat.
- 7). After the upper row is done, remove the toothbrush and rinse in the water bowl.
- 8). Take your toothbrush and apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on the the bristle surface of the toothbrush.
- 9). Take one of your arms and hold the Chinese pug in place and then carefully open their jaw and insert the toothbrush onto the lower left side of the jaw and lightly brush the teeth in a side by side motion. Work your way over to the lower right side of the mouth and repeat.

Use a damp washcloth to prevent drips and messes from drool during the brushing process. - 11
Carefully take the water bottle and rinse the Chinese pug's mouth out, be sure to have the dog's head facing down to avoid choking. - 12
Use a clean, damp washcloth to wipe the gums clean and to keep the area around the mouth clean and dry.
