Make It Fit

• 1). Using the sewing tape, measure your chihuahua around the chest, belly, neck and arms. Also measure the length of your dog from the nape of the neck to the base of the tail. Jot down all of these measurements on a piece of paper.
  
  
• 2). Lay the baby doll clothing pattern out on a flat surface. Using a pencil, make any necessary adjustments to the measurements so that the altered pattern will accurately match the dimensions of your dog. Cut out the new pattern, following the altered lines that outline your chihuahua's measurements.
  
  
• 3). Lay the piece of material you have chosen for your dog's outfit out on a flat surface. Make sure there are no wrinkles. Then, place the cut-out pattern over top of the material and attach it by placing straight pins around the outline of the pattern.
  
  
• 4). After your material is securely pinned to the pattern, cut around the pattern, ensuring the cut-out material is the same size and shape as the pattern and follows the same dimensions.
  
  
• 5). Using a needle and thread, sew where appropriate, removing the straight pins as you go along.
