I know as a parent we are always looking for toys and activities for your children that have some value and are educational.
Seems like the more educational the toy is the more kids do not want to play with it.
There are, however, ways that we as parents can use to find toys that may not appear on the surface to be education but really do benefit our children in positive ways.
You could think of this like making vegetables look like candy, and the kids not knowing the difference.
One type of toy that can have this effect are collectible toys that either come in a series, or are small and one time releases.
There are many toys that fall in this category, including the Mighty Beanz collectible type types.
If you are not sure what Mighty Beanz are they are small capsule size toys that do all kinds of crazy stunts and flips as you move them along the ground.
They come in twenty different sets with five characters in each set.
The characters usually represent animals, TV characters, or superheros.
The company that makes them will sometimes have one time special releases that are rare and can be difficult to collect.
At Christmas time they usually have some special release characters that adds the growing universe of Mighty Beanz that any child can collect and enjoy.
The kids can play games with them, have races against other kids, and trade for different characters to try and complete a missing set.
You may not see this at first, but when you engage your child with collectible type toys you may be helping with their development.
Instead of zoning out in front of a video game your child will be using their imagination and motor skills as they play with toys like Mighty Beanz.
With collectible toys, they can learn organizational and spatial skills as they monitor their ever growing collection.
The kids really like trading and swapping with other kids so they can either complete their collection, or obtain a rare piece they really like a lot.
As they do this and they interact with other children they are developing communication skills and learning how to get along well with others.
They develop a sense of how to play fair with others and the concept of sharing.
As your child starts to expand their collection they learn how to become an expert in a particular subject.
They will learn research skills as they try to find out more details of their collection, and the more rare toys they would like to find.
Children learn how to search for useful information on the Internet and at local specialty toy stores.
There may even be books dedicated to the particular toy collection your child is interested in, and we all know the value of reading the development of a child.
Eventually, as the toy collection expands you child learns to become a subject matter expert, and how this information can help other people.
As a parent you can feel some satisfaction in giving your child toys that come in collections, and even the types of toys that have special releases.
You will be giving them some areas of child development you may not have thought about before, as well as giving you child tremendous satisfaction and enjoyment.
