How to Configure Fire Torrent
- 1). Determine what version of Firefox you are currently using. To do this, in Windows:
Click on "Help" and "About Mozilla Firefox."
On a Mac:
Click on "Firefox" and "About Mozilla Firefox."
Make a note of the version you are running. - 2). Go to the Fire Torrent download page (see Resources).
- 3). Download the correct version of Fire Torrent based on your Firefox version. If you are running Firefox 3.6, download and install the Beta version; otherwise, install the regular version.
- 4). Once Fire Torrent has downloaded and installed, restart Firefox to complete the installation.
- 5). When Firefox restarts, an "Addons" window will appear. Select the "Fire Torrent" section of the window and click "Preferences." Another window will open with standard and advanced preferences. It is best to leave these at their default settings, with the exception of the "Downloads Save Path" in the "Advanced" options window. Browse to the location to which you'd like to save your downloaded torrents, and click "Open." All torrents will now save in that location.
