Straight to the Core

103 28
First off core exercises are extremely important for the body's posture and a stable core establishes a healthy, exuberant person.
You've seen those people walking down the street: hunched over looking like you could blow them over if you sneezed, but an upright sturdy posture makes you appear that much more confident and athletic.
For starters everyone wants those rippling abs and a six pack, but you have to remember that your contrasting muscles groups are just as important! The lower back is often overlooked when it should be given the same amount of attention as your all important abs.
If you really want a solid core, do equal repetitions your back and abs.
So what are the correct core exercises and what fitness equipment do you need? Lower Back: Back Extensions: Most places have these where you just lock your feet in the device and pull yourself up, you can hold as much weight as necessary and this is usually the most popular exercise people do for the lower back.
Machine Back Extensions accomplish the same thing.
Dead lifts: Grab a barbell and with legs shoulder with apart, pick it straight up using your body.
Just don't do too much weight, this is a common way to get your back injured.
Good Mornings: Grab a light barbell, rest it on your back like a squatting technique, and bend your upper body without bending you legs.
Bent over Barbell: Grab a barbell and this time bend down low to the ground and lift the bar into your abdomen.
This one isn't really done that much unless you really want to get into to it, the other back exercises should suffice.
Abs: There are so many exercises for abs it gets a little ridiculous.
Don't feel like you need to do all the ab exercise in your arsenal, when you feel you've got them good and pumped, then stop.
Don't forget crunches don't always do the trick, they do the upper abs wonders but you need to target the lower abs as well.
Leg raises, sit ups, and anything else you've heard of usually work if you do them correctly.
Use that Big Ball: sit down and do some isolated crunches with it, the ball helps your stabilizers because of the uneven motion of the ball.
Hanging leg raises are solid for the lower back and abs too because there's nothing supporting your back.
Just make sure you do them slow and stable to ensure a proper workout.
So if you want great abs, core exercises are the way to go, use the right fitness equipment and just be well rounded.
Make sure to constantly do new workouts so you can keep your muscles challenged and on the top of their game.
A sturdy core will make you look healthy, confident, and more importantly less prone to those lower back injuries.
And try to remember to stand up straight as often as you can.
Finally you need to diet correctly and do cardio just as consistently to burn that fat blocking the muscles.
And once you've put in that hard work, go to the beach or something to show the world your commitment to a healthy lifestyle! Let's see those abs!
