Perindopril Erbumine Side Effects
- In clinical studies with Aceon, as detailed by eMedTV, the most common side effects included coughing, back pain and upper respiratory infections, such as the common cold or flu.
- Other side effects occurring in between 1 and 3 percent of participants included depression, dizziness, elevated liver enzymes, heart palpitations, heartburn, increased blood potassium levels and urinary tract infection.
- Rare but serious side effects call for immediate medical attention. These include chest pain, fainting, fever, muscle weakness or cramping, persistent sore throat, tingling in the hands or feet, vision changes and weakness on one side of the body.
- Perindopril erbumine can cause very serious liver problems, although this is rare. Signs are jaundice, dark urine, abdominal pain, fatigue and nausea.
- Pregnant women should not take perindopril erbumine during the last two trimesters because the drug can cause serious injury to or death of an unborn baby.
