104 32
    • 1). Open the Web page you want to filter using your Firefox browser.

    • 2). Click the Adblock Plus button found on either the toolbar or the status bar at the bottom of the Firefox browser. This will open the Adblock Plus Preferences window.

    • 3). Click "Filters," then click "Add filter..." on the drop-down menu that appears. A New Filter field will appear at the top of the Preferences window.

    • 4). Type the new filter in the blank field. The utility uses the format website.com##div[id="advertisement"] to filter out DIV tags. Replace "website" with the website you want to filter and "advertisement" with the specific code used on the page. Read the source code for the page to find the code you need to enter.

    • 5). Press "Enter" when finished entering the code. Your new filter will appear under the My Element Hiding Rules section on the preferences window.

    • 6). Close the Preferences window and refresh the Web page. Any DIV item you filtered out should not appear once the page reloads.
